Target Oriented Design / CASE STUDIES

We at Quntz do things differently. We'd like to present you with some of the interesting aspects of our work.

The Case Studies:

1) Target Oriented Design

2) Extreme Engineering

3) Rapid Development

Target Oriented Design

The goal of Target Oriented Design is to develop the optimal product to meet the specific needs of each client by determining a development path, from the outset, which is the most cost effective, efficient, and secure.

Our development process is divided into three stages

· Investigation – product characterization and research

· Innovation – design and engineering

· Industrialization – tooling and production

Investigation

the purpose of product characterization and research is target determination. Each project begins with a systematic characterization process that explores various aspects of the potential product, such as aesthetics and style, ergonomics, usage and user profile, the product’s working environment, specifications of components, and technical elements. When needed, we perform field and usage studies in order to locate problems and foresee possible usage scenarios. During this stage, we also analyze the product business model and apply the conclusions to the development process.

Innovation

We believe in the full integration of design and engineering into one creative process. Each styling element is examined from the viewpoint of manufacturing and every technical solution is treated with design. We make sure to receive technical feedback from the first conceptual sketches so that the design will never suffer from the needs of engineering.

We know the client is an important source of knowledge and experience. We draw on this resource and see great importance in keeping the client updated and involved in decision-making.

Industrialization

We never lose sight of the ultimate purpose of the project – production. We are aware of the effort and resources our clients invest in their products and therefore we make certain that this critical stage is carried out with the greatest cost-efficiency and quality.

As part of our turn-key solution, we determine the right tooling for the product from small series to mass production by analyzing the needs of the project and the intentions of our clients. We work with a professional cadre of toolmakers and manufacturers in Israel and the Far East. Our production experience is extensive and varied including plastic parts manufacturing, molds for plastic and metal parts, electronic assemblies, extruded aluminum profiles and sheet metal enclosures. We supervise the tooling and manufacturing tightly and make sure our client receives exactly the product we designed – to the last detail.
